For the majority of my life, I worked my ass off doing what I was told. 

I believed that if I followed the rules of society (go to school, get married, have kids, grab onto - and be loyal to - that career, create a savings account, etc...), then one day I would be happy. Well, at least I'd be content.

​

But somewhere along that road, things started to fall apart - and those things weren't by my choosing. 

​

My mom died and threw me into a grief-ridden tailspin.

My husband asked for a divorce - which actually felt like the right decision, but that felt even more confusing! 

​

My experiences aren't unique. Not even close. We all go through life-altering events that force us to change paths. Usually it happens just when we thought everything was going so smoothly, too!

What do we do then?
